From Storage Unit to Office Space: The LoveBug has a New Home

How Its Going & Growing - The LoveBug is a consignment-like store that we have created, in which our participants can shop with dignity for baby clothes, supplies, diapers and wipes, formula and baby food, toys and books, etc.

Due to the amazing generosity of our community and the overwhelming number of donations that we have received since the LoveBug opened in May of 2020, we have been able to supply over 25 participants with over 75 visits to the LoveBug Children’s Closet and over $10,000.00 worth of baby supplies, personal hygiene supplies, and household supplies needed to provide for their children and families.

How It All Started - On May 28th, 2020, H.E.A.R.T.S gave birth to the newest addition of their non-profit organization, The LoveBug Children's Closet. H.E.A.R.T.S. has established this closet to help the young parents provide for their little ones. The goal is for teen moms and dads in crisis to be given the resources they need to meet their necessities to eliminate the financial barriers associated with being young parents. The LoveBug Children's Closet will be a one-stop-shop for all young parents in need.

Thank You For Your Support! H.E.A.R.T.S. has partnered with the community to provide a shopping experience to meet the clothing needs of young parents at no charge.  We offer clothing sizes infants to preschools, shoes, diapers, wipes, bibs, bottles, formula, household goods, bedding, linens, toys, books, etc.   Inventory is based on items donated, so you never know what awaits you. All clothes donated are store-bought, gently used, or recyclable. After a young parent's little one grows out of their lightly used clothing item, they are encouraged to donate it back, so another young parent can have options and an opportunity to provide for their little ones. It is merely acts of kindness being passed on and on and on. It is the circle that keeps on giving.

For I was hungered, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and you gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
— Matthew 25:35-36
