Brown is the Founder of H.E.A.R.T.S. and "Our House" Resource Center, LLC. She is the Executive Director of the H.E.A.R.T.S Programand Chief Executive Officers of "Our House". Ms. Meka has a Bachelors of Science Degree in Child Development and Family Studies, a North Carolina Teachers License, and is CPR Certified. Currently, Brown is servicing young mothers & fathers in Durham County.Increasing the graduation rate amongst young parents and decreasing the dropout rate for Durham Public School System. As a seasoned educator and administrator with over 30 years of experience, Kathy Chapman serves as a dedicated board member since 2013 with a MA in administration and a ME.D in Special Education. Chapman is committed to providing a positive environment for young mothers and pregnant teens as they move toward graduating from high school.

Sherrod Laws was born and raised in Durham, North Carolina. He is a product of Durham Public Schools and has taught Spanish in the school system as well as the Charter School and Private School Sectors. He has traveled to Mexico, Honduras, Puerto Rico, and The Dominican Republic. Sherrod is bilingual in Spanish and hopes to help with Spanish Speaking youth. He is currently in school obtaining his Masters in School Administration with aspirations to be a Principal and a college professor.

Xaviette Pointer-Kiney has over ten years of experience supporting small business development. As a current doctoral student, she desires to support start-up business owners & entrepreneurs in a consultant/coaching capacity.

Antiona Williams was born in Brooklyn, New York and loves helping people. In 2014, Antiona graduated from Hillside High School with her High School Diploma. She is currently pursuing her career as a Police Officer. She became a young mother at the age of sixteen and serves as a young mom representative on the Board.

Carter is a human resources professional with over 12 years of experience. She has severed as a dedicated board member since 2013 and has worked with several non-profit organizations.
